Northern California Coast & Redwoods Day Trip - 2/7/09
These photos were taken on a day trip from our home near Happy Camp California to the coast on backroads. From Hwy. 96 we took Bald Hills road which comes out near Orick and Prairie Creek State Park (a wonderful place to see old growth redwoods and elk herds). We discovered a dirt road that goes from mouth of the Klamath River south along the coast and comes out in the redwoods, and we ended the day on a deserted beach near Orick. - Michele & Gene
