Shasta Snow Trip '09 Videos

On this page you will find all the current Shasta Snow Trip videos for the year of 2009 (SST#9), as well as one from 2007 (SST#7). Check back, another video for Saturday/Sunday is in the works! As you probably are aware, the SST is centered on a weekend, different dates each year. Much of the main trip can be considered to happen on Friday, as that is the "big push" as it were, to make it to Mt. Shasta in a single day, even though that makes for a driving day of 17-22 hours.

Thanks to Surf City Racing for supplying some footage, and to all the Newts who put up with the difficulties of getting this footage, and special thanks to the helmet cam operators. (The Sunday video is under way, so don't forget to check back!)

Here is the latest video to be completed, scroll down the page to see the earlier ones!

Shasta Snow Trip #7-2007, Clip #1: "Bartlett Springs Road through Vestal Road"

This musical montage depicts the first hours of the Shasta Trip in year #7, during which we were successful in running roads that were traditionally taken on the last day in earlier Trips, and discovering, to our great satisfaction, that the previously unknown roads we tackled were not only passable, but high adventure with challenges including multiple creek crossings, slippery mud, galumphing bovines, irate country-folk, and the requisite rocks in the road. Accompanied by (and paced to) by a rockabilly instrumental rampage courtesy of "Ratgasket", this is one clip to enjoy with your sound up!

Offered in three different file sizes to accomodate various connection speeds....the bigger files are of better quality, naturally. Running time is 2:16, Windows Media Video.
